Q: How long will it take me to get a Visa Approval?

Q: Do I need to pass the IELTS or TOEFL examinations in order to obtain admission to a degree programme in Malaysia and what is the duration for English programme?
A: This requirement varies, depending on the course(s)/programme(s) that you are interested in. If the student does not have the minimum TOEFL or IELTS he is subjected to English test in order to determine his language level. English programe Depends on student’s level; in general, it is varying from one to two semesters.

Q: All students shall study the Foundation year?
A: No, after submitting the required documents, the university will look at the student high school certificate and determine if he shall take a foundation year or not depends on the course also.

Q: How many studying years does Bachelor, Master or Phd take?
A: Depends on University and Course;

Bachelor: form 3 to 4 years

Master: from 1 to 3 years

PhD: from 1.5 to 3 years

Q: Can the student work while studying?
A: All international students studying at public or private higher educational institutions are allowed to work part-time for a maximum of twenty (20) hours per week ONLY during semester breaks or holidays of more than seven (7) days at restaurants, petrol kiosks, mini markets and hotels as long as their student passes remain valid and with the prior approval of the Department of Immigration.
